Triangle Relic Recovery &
Historical Preservation Association

We are always interested in searching older yards or homesteads.

Who We Are

The Triangle Relic Hunters and Historical Preservation Association is a nonprofit organization of history enthusiasts, whose goal is to locate, document, display and preserve items from our past.

What We Do

We locate properties that we feel have the potential to hold items from our past that we can recover and preserve. We gain permission from the property owners to search their grounds for buried artifacts.

Why We Do It

First, Metal Detecting is our favorite pastime and for some of us, it is the only form of exercise we get. Since you never know what you will find every time you hunt, makes metal detecting fun and adventurous. Some people may not see the fun in uncovering old rusty nails and iron, keys, bottle caps, ammunition casings, Mason jar lids, bottle caps and pull-tabs which we consider trash.

Second, we want to preserve buried artifacts that are continuing to deteriorate in the ground. It's the times that we find items from our country's past that really make it fulfilling. At times we may uncover items from the Revolutionary War or the Civil War. Other times we may find old coins & jewelry.

Call us if you've lost a cherished item in the yard or at the lake.

Our members have a multitude of land & water metal detectors to assist in the recovery of metal items.

We can assist the Archaeology and Law Enforcement folks too...
